How the capacity scenario is calculated

  1. Entered client-hour capacity subtracts non-client hours from total working hours entered.
  2. Allocated hours add retainer hours and other client hours entered.
  3. The unallocated difference subtracts allocated hours from entered client capacity and may be negative.
  4. The average per retainer divides entered retainer hours by the count entered; it does not prescribe a contract or workload.

CHECK

Before interpreting the result

Enter amounts from your own records and check the unit used by each field. The calculator does not validate sales, costs, hours, inventory, payments, fees or percentages, and it does not retrieve data from external sources.

Change one input at a time and compare several scenarios. This helps separate the mathematical effect of each assumption without presenting the output as a confirmed price, margin, profit, budget or available amount.

Use the output to structure an initial comparison. Before making a tax, legal, accounting, financial or commercial decision, check current information and your specific circumstances with an official source or a suitably qualified professional.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does the calculator tell me how many clients to take?

No. It shows the arithmetic effect of the hours and counts entered and does not determine workload suitability.

Is a positive unallocated difference available time?

Not necessarily. The scenario may omit meetings, revisions, leave, delays, operational tasks or other commitments.

Does it set a retainer fee or contract scope?

No. It does not calculate pricing, draft terms, assess employment status or interpret agreements.

The complete workbook connects client and retainer records, a dated time log, monthly summaries, editable working-time assumptions and cross-sheet checks.
